Information Resources Manager (IRM)

Authorized and accountable to the State of Texas for administration of the university’s information systems, including the implementation of security policies, procedures, and standards to protect the university’s information systems. The IRM for the institution is the Associate Vice President of Information Technology/CIO. The IRM is going to:

• Maintain information as a university strategic asset.
• Provide staff with the resources they need to carry out their duties for securing information and information systems.
• Examine and approve information owners and their duties.
