Computing for Social Good

The phrase “Computing for the Social Good” refers to any activity that aims to get students to think about the fundamental question, “How can one utilize computing to do good in the world instead of utilizing computers to make money or conduct basic scientific research?” Considering how infrequently computer students travel abroad, let alone spend a semester engaged in service learning, the creation of such an opportunity would be beneficial on two fronts.
