New CentOS 8.1 and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS templates

HostRooster has added the ability to automatically deploy operating systems CentOS 8.1 and Ubuntu 20.04 with x64 architecture from ready-made templates on cloud servers. At the same time, the ability to install previous OS versions on servers – Ubuntu 18.04 and CentOS 7.7 – is preserved.

What’s new in CentOS 8.1

  • Modified packages, including yum, anaconda, httpd, dhcp, grub2 and kernel;
  • New routing protocol stack FRRouting with support for BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, PIM, and RIP;
  • Support for re-encrypting LUKS2 block devices while they are in use;
  • New udica tool for generating SELinux security policies for containers and more.

  • Hardware support for two-factor authentication when connecting via SSH;
  • Fresh updates for PHP 7.4, MySQL 8.0, NGINX 1.17, Python 3.8 and more;

  • Release of updates and security support for 5 years for the current version and much more.
